How Common Is Prostate Cancer?
Every man should undergo routine check ups at least once a year for this disease as prostate cancer is not uncommon. Once the prostate is infected with cancer cells, the cells multiply rapidly, soon to include the bone and the lymph nodes. Difficulty passing urine is an early sign of prostate cancer. It can be a silent killer because many of the symptoms do not manifest themselves until the disease is well along the way. All forms of cancer are major illnesses but there is no need to panic and lose hope. Effective treatments are available to fight prostate cancer and the chances for survival are not bleak. The key is early detection and men should have a prostate exam from the age of fifty. A genetic predisposition should warrant checkups earlier.
