This is a rant that I have. I think there should be a standardized sign around when restaurants and other businesses offer free wi-fi. I mean if you know you can find a Panera, then you know you’re going to get free wi-fi. But, other than that name a chain that universally has free wi-fi. Some Chick-fil-a’s have it, others don’t. I’ve seen McDonald’s with free wi-fi, and Burger King. But, the problem is who wants to drive around and guess. My plan would be to have a standardized sticker that you could place on advertisements that sells the free wi-fi. We’ve had long discussions on that in our computer repair shop in Phoenix.

The price was almost US$20 higher than the system’s price in Japan and more than $100 higher than the Nintendo DS. Despite the concerns, the PSP’s North American launch was a success, and PSP theme downloads were substantial, although reports two weeks later indicated that the system was not selling as well as expected despite Sony’s claim that 500,000 units had been sold in the first two days. The PSP was originally to have a simultaneous PAL region and North American launch, but on March 15, 2005, Sony announced that the PAL region launch would be delayed because of high demand for the console in Japan and North America. A month later, on April 25, 2005, Sony announced that the PSP would launch in the PAL region on September 1, 2005 for €249/£179.

Last week my computer crashed and was absolutely useless. I had to wait a few days for the technician to come over to access the damage. He had to reinstall the Windows operating system. Thank goodness he was able to get me up and running the same day. I was very concerned with all the data files that I had lost. I am glad I mentioned this to him. He as able to run a file data recovery software that successfully restored all of my lost files. To me that is absolutely amazing. He told me that no file is ever lost unless it has been written over.

Many say that the Apple iPhone is a main contender in the handheld gaming industry, recent game apps have started to show just how much of a contender it can be. And Apple knows this as they have recently purchased about 3.6 percent of the UK chip maker Imagination says Sansa Accessories. They know their iPod touch and iPhone 3G will become increasingly popular for hand held gaming and will soon rival the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS. Thanks to the convenience of surfing the world wide web while sitting at home, in your Lazyboy recliner in your family room, online activities are extremely popular with many folks today. The term is 802.11 wireless and that is the standard it goes by.
The technology that enables us to get to that point includes the use of communication standards that have been in use for a long time. First, the standard in favor was 802.11b. This was in wide use until the faster standard of 802.11a came along. The latest standard, still in use today is 802.11g and it combines the best of both previous standards. Although it may sound complicated, these communication standards offer the speed and effectiveness of your internet connection.
With today’s speedy computers and fast internet connections, we can appreciate the freedom of internet access and learn about the world from an entirely new perspective.
