Opening my eyes through graduate work

Going to school is not just work and learning things that you will never use.   One of the things I discovered when I started my Graduate career education was that I could pick my classes and study the things I was most interested in learning.  Sure they still had the required core courses  but I could approach them from my viewpoint and use them to learn more about my chosed field.   By my third year I was taking courses that I would have had no interest in two years earlier.  The more I was learning the more I wanted to learn about other subjects.
