I’m glad to hear that Britney Spears’ dad, Jamie, is going to continue to be her conservator for the remainder of the year. Of all the personal lives of Hollywood’s celebrities, Britney’s has probably been the most tumultuous until not long ago. Only a handful of months of guidance and recuperation is not enough to undo years of damage. It would be too soon to let her or anyone else in her position be on her own just yet. I was saddened to hear that ex-husband Kevin Federline was awarded sole custody of sons Sean and Jaden, though it wouldn’t make sense to prolong the battle over who will take care of the two children while Britney is still learning how to take care of herself. Hopefully, when she is fully well she will re-petition for custody and in the meantime Kevin will be happy to allow her generous visitation.
